The Nova Scotia Fiber Arts Festival is happening here in Cumberland from August 3 to 6. As a part of this festival, the Tidnish Bridge Art Gallery is hosting the exhibition For the Birds: A Girl’s Eye View from artists Gwen Dixon, Carol McCall and Kate Sharpe. With their love for birds in mind, three female fiber artists use rug hooking, stitching, needle felting, and wet felting to explore ideas of aging and identity, movement and migration, and to reflect on their memories of these winged wonders. For the Birds will be on display from August 1 to 8 at the Tidnish Bridge Art Gallery (3654 Hwy 366, Tidnish bridge, NS). The artist reception will take place Wednesday, August 3 from 2 to 4 pm. Come by to meet the artists! The Tidnish Bridge Art Gallery is open from 10-5 every day.
