ArtWorks East Presents: Foldilocks Bag Making Workshop with Alison Billard
Join ArtWorks East member Alison Billard for a two-day, hands-on sewing workshop where you’ll learn how to make your very own Foldilocks bag!
Over the course of the workshop, participants will work through the process of creating a functional and stylish bag to take home. The finished bag measures approximately 6″ high x 9.5″ wide x 1.5″ deep.
Workshop Details
Dates: Saturday, November 28 & Sunday, November 29, 2026
Time: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM each day
Location: Boylston Community Centre, 11728 NS-16, Boylston
Cost: $25 without bag pattern or $45 including bad pattern
Spaces: Limited to 10 participants (additional spaces may be considered depending on interest).
What You’ll Need to Bring
Participants are responsible for bringing their own fabric and sewing supplies.
Fabric requirements:
Main fabric: 1 fat quarter (18″ x 21″)
Lining fabric: 1 fat quarter
Coordinating fabric: 5/8 yard
1″ polypropylene strapping: 58″
Two 9″ single-pull zippers, or 18″ of zipper tape with two pulls
Matching thread
