Jade Pinder has been the Student Gallery Assistant at the Tidnish Bridge Art Gallery this summer, and we are pleased to present her exhibition. Jade is entering her fourth year at Mount Allison University, and she has been working on this body of work since her second year. Jade has chosen to focus her practice on sculpture and painting, specifically in making realistic replicas of various food items. Using food as a subject comes from her experience with disordered eating habits and has been beneficial in her recovery journey. Jade uses her personal memories and experiences to create the work, however, she encourages viewers to connect to the work in their own way.
This exhibition will be on display from September 7th to the 19th. Stop by gallery between 2 and 4p.m. on September 11 to meet Jade and discover more about her work and thought process. We hope to see you there!
