Painting Animals with a Limited Palette

This 4 week Class will cover the following:

Planning out your palette and the range of colours it offers.

Preparing your surface , and planning out/placing your drawing.

Blocking in your painting and background

Refining your details.

This is a beginner level class that is also suitable for intermediate painters that want to try a new subject or refine their animal paintings. So if you are enrolling you should have some experience with drawing (either free hand or with a grid) to get your paintings outline down. A bit of painting experience is a bonus but not an absolute requirement. I will offer two reference photos (probably a dog or cat) I will be working from that everyone can follow along with OR those with more experience are welcome to choose their own image provided they clear it with me first to make sure its a suitable reference.

You can choose to work in whichever of the two paints are familiar to you if you like I will be demonstrating in oils but have worked in acrylics as well.

Suitable for ages 16 to Adult as long as you have some drawing experience.If you’re not sure, send me an email and include a couple of drawings so I can let you know if its a good fit.
