Watercolour Opportunity for Youth Artists (age 16-19)

The Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour invites Atlantic Canadian youth artists (ages 16 – 19) to submit their watercolour paintings to the Youth Division of Open Water. Entries close June 16 at 1:00 pm Atlantic time.

The Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour is Canada’s premier watercolour society. As the Society enters its centennial year, the CSPWC is celebrating by bringing its 100th Annual Open Water Exhibition to Teichert Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

To support young artists, there are three prizes available specifically for Youth Division entries. Elected members of the CSPWC have contributed to an “Inspiration Award” award for the Youth Division category, which consists of a generous collection of donated painting supplies and tools. Two further youth division awards have been made available by exhibition sponsors Shoal Cove Sales and Heinz Jordan & Company.
